Moisture, density and contamination.
Feed is moisture sensitive, varies widely in density between pellets and mash, and cannot be contaminated. A bag that works for sand will not necessarily work for feed. Woven polypropylene resists tearing under repeated forklift handling and holds up across temperature and humidity swings, and a liner adds moisture control where it matters.

Roughly 6 to 12 months before UV degrades untreated polypropylene. UV-treated fabric lasts longer. Indoor storage extends life a lot.
02What weight can a feed bag hold?
Up to 2,200 kg SWL. With a 5:1 safety factor, a bag rated for 1,000 kg is tested to withstand 5,000 kg before failure.
03Are feed bags reusable?
Most are rated single-trip. Ask about 6:1 multi-trip builds for repeat routes.
04Do I need a liner?
For humidity-sensitive feed, yes. A PE liner keeps moisture out.
